Changing Hair COlor from black to brown
 My hair is naturally a medium brown. I recently dyed it black, about a month ago. It is starting to fade but I want to go back to brunette. I am afraid to bleach it and not be able to get the orange bad blonde color out with brown hair dye. My employer would not exactly be happy about that! But I'm a student and can't really afford a huge salon bill for bleaching and re-dying. Is that my only option? How can I go back to brunette without an awkward orange stage? [Stephanie, 22-Sep-2008]
