Hair Style for Long Straight Hair

Good Morning,  I am 38 yrs young and I am Native Alaskan so I have long straight and sort of thin hair.

I got out of the Marine Corps a couple of years ago and since then have gained a few pounds so I have a round face.

I am very active within the Native Community here in the DC Metro area so for cultural reasons I have kept it long however I am in bad need for a change.

Like most americans I am pressed for time in the mornings and so far since it's so long I've just been either wearing the tired old pony tail or when I have time to blow dry it out I'll wear it straight and parted to the side with some shine spray.

HELP!!!! HELP!!!!! HELP!!!!! I don't have a stylist and the only one I was comfortable with has moved to the west coast.....I miss him sooooooooo much! It's almost been a year since my last cut. Submitted by [ Kimberly 1-June-2007 ]

i have very fine hair and it is thigh length. i don't want to cut my hair short but want to make it hip length. what kind of haircut should i get so that it adds volume to my hair and also i don't have to chop off my hair too much? i am desperate.. reply urgently. i am 20 years of age and have an oval face with a wide forehead. i have tanned complexion if that helps. I wear my hair to my hip, but one thing I do to add body is I keep it layered versus all one length. This helps frame the face as well. Another thing is to have it look like a "v" in the back... so if all of your hair is behind your shoulders, it will be longer in the middle than it would be on the sides. This also gives an illusion that it is longer than it really is.

Also for body if you are able to blowdry it, dry it with your head flipped forward, upside down, adding a light mouse at the roots while it's still wet before drying.

I have straight long blonde hair. i always straighten and sometimes curl my hair. i recommend "catwalk" products. To bring out a natural curl use catwalk, curls rock. By Amanda
