i have very long, straight hair (it is all the way down my back). everyday i straighten it and on special occasions i will curl it but that takes hours! i am looking for some fun new ways to wear my super long hair and maybe a way to curl it without it taking FOREVER!

There are many ways to wear a long hair. You can opt for a updo or other styles if you are going in a formal occasion. A ponytail is also a good option. See our long hairstyles section and long hair pictures for more advice.

The advantage of having very long hair is that you can wear it any style that will look great. Wear it in a ponytail to the side that is full of curls and has a nice side swept bang. You can wear it with tight little ringlets with lots of bounce and body or opt for looser curls for a softer look. Half up-do with curled ponytails at the top will create a casual and elegant look.

My tip for curling super long hair is old fashioned sponge curlers I use them on my hair it goes all the way to my waist at one length and it's the best way to go about it.

You must have split ends like crazy if you're constantly straightening your long hair. Try a simple braid - quick, and contains better (fewer knots!!) than a ponytail. Do a really tight one or french braid it right before you go to bed and sleep in it and you'll have a natural wave for the next day. I don't know any way to curl it except with a curling iron - but again, don't do it too much or you'll have long frizzy split ends instead of long shiny hair.
