Hats for different face shapes

To properly protect your hair you need to keep it covered from the elements or out of the sun altogether. So wearing a hat is the most realistic option for shielding your hair while you are out and about. A baseball cap or headscarf will be better than nothing, as both cover your scalp and, to some extent, your hair. The best solution, though, is a hat with a decent brim that will shade your face and neck along with your hair. If you are sitting in the sun, always tuck the ends of your hair up into your hat - they are the driest part of your hair and the most vulnerable to damage from the environment.

Fashion Hats for different face shapes

Hats for Oval faces

Oval facesVirtually any hat shape will suit an oval face, as the proportions of the face are even. Choose one that you feel confident wearing; otherwise it will sit unused in your hotel room during your trip.

Hats for Round faces

Round faces Balance a round face with a hat that has a good, high crown and a decent brim. A short crown and small brim will make your face look more round.

Hats for Long faces

Long faces A hat that has a wide brim will offset the length of a long face. Choose one with a low crown - a high crown will make the face look even longer.

Hats for Heart-shaped faces

Heart-shaped faces Most hats will suit a heart-shaped face, although a medium-sized brim (rather than a wide brim) will help to prevent the jaw line from looking too narrow.
