The eyes of the women during the day tended to be very natural. Eyeliner is worn only on the top eyelid, and mascara during the day is kept very light. Night Makeup During 1950s
During the night, women often frequented eyeliner on both lids with heavy mascara. The eye shadow was also often applied for evening outings, and usually done in a smoky color. The eyebrows were still thin and slightly arched. The lips changed as well, being outlined and filled in with a darker, more sexual matte red. Light peach foundation was still common, but luminous powder was used to create a more appealing face.
