Applying Mascara - How to apply Mascara
Mascara is applied after eyeshadow but it can be applied before also. In fact I like to apply mascara before shadows because I always spatter Mascara everywhere which can ruin a made-up eye. Whichever you choose if you curl lashes it should be soon before applying Mascara. After you curl eye lashes, you can make lashes look lusher and help Mascara to adhere better.
Normally two or three coats of mascara are ample. Comb through your eye lashes after the final coat so that they don not clump together.
How to Apply Mascara
If you want to apply mascara to the bottom lashes, do so before coating the top lashes. It is very important not to put too much mascara on the bottom lashes, so make sure the wand is not overloaded by wiping off any excess.
Hold a magnifying mirror slightly above your face and position the wand vertically straight in front of you. Stroke down the bottom lashes, working From the inner to the outer comer of the eye. Looking slightly down into the mirror, brush the wand from the root to the end of the uppermost top lasher. Then apply from underneath in a diagonal direction and, finally with a straight movement.
Mascara is available in many shades, though black is more popular. The next step in applying mascara is to close one eye and paint the upper side of the upper lashes. Then, open the eye and apply mascara to the inner side of the upper lashes. Yes, I know this sounds odd, but trust me - applying mascara to both sides of your upper lashes gives an amazingly luxurious smokey look.
Mascara Application
For night eye make-up, use black eye-liner, dark mascara and white eye-shadow. For blue or brown eyes, use black eye-liner and light blue mascara for the day time; and for evening, blue eye-liner, blue mascara and blue eye-shadow should be used. Make sure to remove eye make-up at night. It is cleaned with baby oil. Close your eyes, apply baby oil on a cotton wool swab and scrub slowly, gently, keeping eyes closed. First clean the upper part and ends, then the lower part of the eyes, keeping your eyes open.
Mascara is best kept to the upper lashes. As you apply mascara to you lashes, keep your eyes wide open and try not to blink too vigorously until lashes are completely dry.
Use black-brown mascara and a curved brush. You can control the application better using the curvy part of the brush tip and the brush tip will always stay away from the eye socket area that we just finished applying shadow to.
Consider having your eyelashes dyed at a makeup salon. This looks very natural and particularly for women with very fair lashes. Also save time in your makeup routine.
Quick Mascara Makeup Tips
If your mascara is drying out, place it sealed on a radiator or into a beaker of warm water for a minute and you will get a couple of extra application out of it.
