Eye Makeup Tips
Eye make-up makes or breaks an overall look. Use a heavy
hand and you will pile on the years; apply subtle, natural tones
and you will achieve a warm, approachable, fresh appearance.
Make the most of your eyes - choose eye makeup colors that flatter and apply them so that they last.
EYE MAKE-UP TIPS
Eyeshadows glide smoothly
and are easy to blend
on foundation and powder primed lids. Pull lids
smoother with finger-tips to work shadow
well into eyelid creases.
The older you get, the
lighter the shade of your
eye shadow should be.
Some women in their
fifties onward prefer to
leave their lids almost
bare, using the merest
hint of mascara for
definition.
Stop just short of the
socket line with eye
shadow to prevent
deepset eyes from looking sunken.
Mascara is likely to blob
if the wand is overloaded. Tissue off the
excess before applying eye make up.

TROUBLESHOOTER
OVERDONE THE EYE SHADOW? Blend a dot of concealer on
the centre of your lids to
ease the colour.
YOU'VE BLOBBED YOUR
MASCARA? Use a clean,
damp mascara wand to
separate clogged lashes,
and a damp cotton bud
cleans blobs from
surrounding skin.
LASHES LOOK STRAIGHT AND
SPIKY? Use lash curlers
over mascara to "open up"
the eyes.
EYEBROWS TOO HEAVY? Brush a clean mascara
wand through them to
diffuse the pencil tone.
