What causes itchy scalp?
Itchy scalp can be caused by multiple things. Some of them are related to the hair care products you use. Other causes of itchy scalp have to do with an existing condition that you may have. Itchy scalp can be caused by certain types of hair products. If you use shampoos, conditioners, or other products that are too harsh, itchy scalp can result. Products that contain alcohol, often times cause a person’s scalp to itch. They can even cause the scalp to flake. This happens because of build up from the products used. Some culprits of this condition, is hair sprays, hair gels, or spritz.
There are a few conditions, which can, cause an itchy scalp. One of itchy scalp conditions is called contact dermatitis. Contact dermatitis is a skin condition, which often has to be seen by a dermatologist. Another condition is psoriasis. Itchy scalp is a skin condition, as well. Stress has also been discovered as a culprit to the cause of an itchy scalp.
