Hair Growth Recipes
Hair growth is usually reduced in winter. To encourage hair growth, try this hair pack.
Take 1-cup honey, 1 cup almond oil and 1 cup strong marjoram tea. Mix and rub all over your head. Keep a shower cap on for about 11/2 hours and then shampoo. Follow up with leave-in conditioner. Boil 1-cup rosemary leaves in ½ cup water and strain.
You can also try herbal steam for your hair. Boil a handful each of thyme, rosemary, lavender and parsley in 1 litre of distilled water. Dip a towel into this mixture, wring and wrap around your hair. Keep it on for ½ hour and feel the difference. If your hair is oily, add 1-cup rum to the mixture. If dry, add a few drops of lavender or sweet almond oil.
Rosemary Hair Oil
Take 1 oz. of rosemary oil, 1/8 oz. of lavender oil. This will last for about 6 months. Simply mix the two oils and store in the dark or in a small amber or lightproof bottle. Put a few drops of the oil on your palm, brush the palm against your hairbrush and then brush your hair.
Tip: One should thoroughly brush the hair. Brushing dislodges dirt and distributes the natural hair oils.
