Curly Prom Hairstyle - How to Create a Curly Prom Hairstyle

Prom is a very special moment in any girl's life and, for that very reason, it is so important to choose the right prom hairstyle. Here is one budget-friendly curly prom hairstyle that can easily be created at home, or if you prefer, at the salon.

1. Wash your hair with a good shampoo and conditioner.

2. Detangle it with a wide toothed comb and then use a blow dryer.

3. If your hair is not naturally straight, you may want to use a flat iron to straighten it to get only waves, curls or even frizz. Consider using a protective hair serum.

4. After it is straight, divide the hair into the three sections, whether or not it is layered. You can use elastic bands or hair clips to divide the sections.

5. Use a curling iron to create curls throughout the entire head. Begin at the bottom section and work your way to the top section. When you use the curling iron to create your curly prom hairstyle, there are two very important things that you should keep in mind:

- For smaller curls, you will want to use a curling iron that is smaller around. On the other hand, you should use one that is larger around for larger curls.

- Don't be afraid to mix up the curls. You can create both smaller and larger curls throughout the entire head.

6. Put some of the hair up in the front, right near the bangs area, to create a small half updo. Lock the hair into place with a small barrette or bobby pins.

7. Be sure to spritz some hairspray onto the curls in order to ensure that they will stay in place for the entire prom.

8. Consider adding fresh or clip-in flowers to one side of the head if you want to jazz this curly prom hairstyle up a bit.
