Raw Food Diet
The Raw Food Diet, isn't as well known, as many other diet plans. But many people opt for this type of diet each year. Although there are various forms of the Raw Food Diet, most of them have common qualities. One reason why this diet is not as familiar, is because in most cases it is a lifestyle change, or choice.
In other words most people who choose this way of eating, do not do so with the mind set of changing. People who participate in the Raw Food Diet usually end up doing so for life. Typically this diet is composed of the eating of uncooked, unprocessed, foods. This also sometimes includes the eating of organic foods, as a large percentage of one's diet.
A Raw Vegan type diet is really more well known, than an overall Raw Food Diet style. Generally though, there are three basic forms of a Raw Food Diet. Each of these has their own specific requirements, as well as, types of foods that are encouraged. People who choose these types of diets most often have decided on specific foods, they would like to eliminate from their diets, already. This is why diets like the Raw Food Diet, are considered to be lifestyle choices.
The first form of a Raw Food Diet, is raw veganism. Raw veganism, simply means, that one eats unprocessed plant foods. These foods are not heated above 115* F. People, who practice this form of Raw Food Diet, believe that foods heated above this temperature, tend to lose their nutritional value.
Another form of the Raw Food Diet, is raw vegetarianism. A raw vegetarian diet excludes foods like, meat, fish, and poultry. It includes, however, foods like fruits, vegetables, sprouts, nuts, seeds, grains, and dairy. People, who participate is this type of diet, are very careful and specific about their dietary habits. They do not deviate from the types of foods that are allowed.
The third form of the Raw Food Diet, is one focusing on the consumption of raw animal foods. Persons who practice this diet prefer to eat raw, or uncooked meats or fish. They also eat uncooked dairy, specifically aged products. Raw animal food eaters, usually include the eating of raw vegetables in their diets, as well.
If you're considering the Raw Food Diet, it is wise to decide which form best fits your needs. These diets can be done for periods of time, but most who start them do not choose to stop.
