Eye Stye
We have all had them or at least had a friend or a family member with one of those unsightly little pimples underneath or right next to your eyelashes. Well news flash that is not a pimple, but what is known to be an eye stye. Eye styes are defined as an infection of the hair follicle or an eyelash that is usually caused by bacteria.
Eye stye form when the bacteria that normally grow on one's eye lash travels and blocks the oil glands at the base of the lash. The bacteria that cause the stye can be transferred from lash to lash and from oil gland to oil gland by rubbing the eye. Eye styes can be transferred from person to person by inadvertent contact either during play or while looking at the original stye.

Clove spices are great for alleviating pain, simply rub clove spices in water and rub it over the affected area for immediate relief in eye stye.
Potato usually a grated one that is placed on the affected eye can help reduce swelling
Guava leaves are great for using as warm compress that also reduces the swelling.
If home remedies are not working and the stye seems to be more serious than it looks, you can always get with your doctor and mostly the doctors will either prescribe medicated antibiotic eye drops that will tackle the bacteria at hand or a small surgery will have to be formed, to drain out the bacteria and the pus causing the eye stye.
