For more permanent results for teeth whitening, one can add baking soda to their toothpaste. The baking soda is a known stain removal and helps to brighten and whiten the teeth as it is used. To use the baking soda, simply mix it into a paste by adding water and apply it to the toothbrush, following it with toothpaste. The baking soda mix can be used alone as well, although one must be careful when using it alone since without the toothpaste it does not spread as well over the teeth.
