Home Remedies for Dark Circles
Drinking 8 to 10 glasses of water daily
Dark circles under the eyes can be hereditary so it is best to apply eye creams that contain sun screen protection or a combination of retinol and vitamin K.
Sleep at least 8 hours a day
Using slices of cucumber or raw potatoes in covering eyelids for about 15 to 20 minutes is a useful dar circles remedy. Thereinafter, wash the eyes with warm water before applying a cream.
A mixture of cucumber juice (from grated parts), lanolin cream and lemon juice can be use as an application around the eye lid for about 10 to 15 minutes.
Use lemon juice for the eyelids at least twice a day.
A mixture of pineapple juice and turmeric paste can be best for the dark circles under the eyes.
Use crushed mint or almond oil as an application cream around the eye.
Reduce the intake of vitamin A or medications of Retin A as this will give darker color to the under skin of the eye.
Topical application of niacinamide can be best for treating dark circles and puffy eyes because it contains anti-inflammatory properties.
Apply a wet wash cloth with sprinkled aromic herbs and rosemary on your eyelid. This wet wash cloth should be rolled up and pop up in the microwave for about one minute before the application. The cloth should be removed as soon as it becomes cold and use a tissue in blotting the wet eye areas.
