Choose good quality combs with sawcut teeth. This means that each individual tooth is cut into the comb, so there are no sharp edges. Avoid cheap plastic combs that are made in a mould and so form lines down the center of every tooth. They are sharp, and gradually scrape away the cuticle layers of the hair, causing damage and often breakage.
Comb - A sturdy, all-purpose comb is ideal for detangling hair, creating parts, dividing hair into sections, and backcombing.
 Use a wide-toothed comb for disentangling and combing conditioner through the hair.
Fine tail-combs are for styling.
