Angels are a connection between heaven and earth, and are seen in a religious sense. Religious books such as the Koran and the Bible say that angels serves specific purposes such as to protect, fight evil, deliver goodness to the world, prevent people from harm and the list goes on.
Angel tattoos have a variety of meanings. One may choose to get an angel tattoo, because he or she wants to feel protected, people want guardian angels. Having a tattoo of a guardian angel, would be the perfect tattoo.
Even though the bible does not mention angels having wings, most angel tattoos are accompanied with wings. The wings are a definite mark that defines the tattoo as an angel tattoo. Some people decide not to get a whole angel; instead they opt for a wing that surround a heart and is decorated in a halo.

Fallen Angel - is angels that have been banished from heaven. Angels have to do something really bad and disobedient to be kicked out of heaven, fallen angels are also know as dark angels or demons such as Satan
Archangel – archangels are angels that are closest to god with the highest rank. St. Michaels who is god s warrior angel is a popular tattoo.
Angel tattoos do not have to be for religious purposes, some get the angel tattoo because it is simply divine and beautiful and since an angel is associated with peace, love and purity. Angel tattoos can range from small to large, some people that have a close connection and really feel that their guardian angel is amongst them, will get a large pair of wings tattooed on their back, because they too wan tot feel like an angel.
