Celts were a Indo-European group of people their history can be traced back to the second century BC. Celts lived in tribes and perused the land of Western Europe. Celtic tattoos consist of crosses, spirals, knots or an elaborate combination of all three. Celtic tattoos are worn by men and women and are very popular amongst both.

Celtic Cross - is a cross that is held by a circle, and has intriguing know work to create a simple but defined design. It is believed that the Celtic cross was created by St. Patrick who was trying to convert the Irish people. The Celtic cross is the combination of the Christian cross and the sun.

Celtic Knots - are just intricate designs of knots that are looped and intertwine the meaning of the knots are not really clear but some people believe they symbolize eternity, because the knot work portrays endless loops.

Celtic Trinity Knot - this is a simple design but has a powerful meaning for example in Christianity, the three knots indicate the father, the son and the Holy Spirit. In pagan culture it represents mother, crone, and maiden. In New age, it represents mind body and spirit.
