Design your own tattoo

You made the decision to get inked, however you may be tired of the same old designs that you see day in and day out and you need something different. You want something unique and spectacular; you want a tattoo design to show a true reflection of who you really are. So why not design your own tattoo?

Designing your own Tattoo

Designing your own tattoo can take little effort; you can take time to think of what you are going to get the tattoo for. What is the purpose of the tattoo is it going to mark a certain event, or aspect of you r life, maybe for a celebration, death a transformation or memory of a loved one. Decide if the tattoo is going to be small, large, colorful, plain or exciting. Do you want graphics or pictures, or perhaps both? You don't have to be the next Picasso to design your own tattoo, all you need is an imagination and a great tattoo artist to put your ideas on to paper and then eventually on to your body.

The next step is deciding where to put your tattoo, most of the time larger tattoos adorn the back and shoulders, while smaller tattoos can be on the wrist, foot, thigh and other places on the body.

You have to keep in mind the size of the tattoo and how it will appear on your body. You can get inspired by tribal, hearts, animals, flowers and a variety of other tattoos that will suit your personality. Even though those tattoos are the most popular, you can always glorify an ordinary tattoo, by adding that extra touch of your personality to the tattoo.

It is best if you work with different artist to sketch your design to make sure you are choosing the right one. If possible get your personal sketch as a temporary tattoo and wear it for a few days before deciding to make it permanent.

It may be quite frustrating, if you are not an artist, and you can't get an artist to capture the beauty of your design. Therefore by getting a temporary of your original and unique design, you can see if the tattoo really suits you. You should not worry about price, when it comes to getting several tattoo sketches; you have to remember that getting a tattoo is for a lifetime. So spending a few measly dollars for sketches won't hurt, because there is nothing worse than shelling out a wad of cash only to realize that you are stuck with a hideous tattoo, that can't be fixed or will cost a fortune to touch up.

Most designs come from the standard and typical designs that you see at a tattoo parlor, but you can always get inspired from a picture that you see in the parlor books or even your favorite celebrities. When you choose your own design, you will have a sense of pride and satisfaction, and that is priceless!
