Newlywed Game Questions

The Newlywed Game Show was a popular show in the 70's. Recent versions of this show, have surfaced recently. The premise of the show is that newlyweds, know a lot about each other, or they know very little. The Newlywed Game questions, were posed in a way, that both the husband and the wife needed to know intimate details about the other. The couples, who knew the most, got their answers correct.

The couple with the most correct answers, won the game and great prizes. The newer versions of the show, are formatted from the 70's show. This doesn't have to simply be a fun television show, though. Newly married couples can get together and ask each other Newlywed Game questions. This could be a good game night activity. All you need is a series, of great, telling questions, and willing players.

What was the name of the high school your spouse graduated from?

If the couple were not high school sweethearts, this could be a very challenging question. The answer will depend on some of the basic information, they each know about the other. It can also be based on the amount of cramming they did before the game. Either way, this is a wonderful Newlywed Game question.

What are the names of your spouse's siblings, in the order of their ages?

This is another great question. If the happy couple haven't known each other for very long, they could get stumped here. But those couples, who have been together a while will easily be able to answer it. This requires knowledge about each other's family history. Childhood stories, or reminiscences would be a simple way to relay this type of information.

What is your spouse's favorite color?

This sounds like a really easy question. But it is often, the simple Newlywed Game questions, that cause the most trouble. People discuss a lot of things when they first get married. Some intricate details like favorite color, or favorite foods, are left out. Many of these are discovered later on in marriage.

Couples, who already know these kinds of details, have a good chance of winning the game. The more detailed the question, the better they are going to do.

What would be on the menu of your spouse's favorite meal?

Couples, even newlyweds, do a lot of cooking together. Dining, in some form, takes place every day. This should be a simple one to answer. It could be another stump question, though. Some couples never cook, and grab food to go on a regular basis. If the topic of food rarely comes up, it's not likely they will know the answer.

Easy Newlywed Game questions, are no fun. The more challenge the questions pose, really make the game interesting! This is a good way to have fun, but to also learn some great facts about your spouse, that you may not have known before. Finding couples to play the game with is a way to enhance friendships, as well as, create a social network for the rest of your marriage.
