Healthy Eating Habits

Chocolate Cake, Walnut Brownies, Pecan Ice cream are treats that we all enjoy. But let's be realistic we just can't eat those type of desserts every day, unless we have a super fat burning metabolism that zaps the fat away at the time of inception. The good news is that you can still have those sweet treats. But you have to take control of your eating habits so they don't get out of control. The keyword is : Moderation. Don't worry you don't have to eat bean curd and soy to practice healthy eating habits. The key is to find healthy foods that you enjoy and can incorporate into your diet. Then you can enjoy your guilty pleasures on your weekends or designate a time of the week where you can indulge in whatever you wish.

List of Health Eating Habits

No Deprivation

The worst thing you can do is deny yourself food. Food is your friend not your enemy. You just have to know how to pick your pleasures. Denying yourself food can actually make your body turn into starvation mode, your body will get confused and start storing fat as a method of survival.

Food is Energy

Like a car needs gasoline to operate, your body needs food to perform daily functions. If a car is on E it will not fun.. If your body has no food or source of energy you will feel fatigue, sluggish, and irritable. A good combination of healthy fats, proteins, and whole grains will help you maintain a steady weight.

Write for Health

A great way to stick to your healthy eating habits is to keep a food journal. Writing can be therapeutic when you are trying to lose weight. Writing down your eating habits can be a helpful tool. It helps you keep track of what you are eating , the times that you are eating. And as well as the reasons you are eating, are you hungry or just emotional?

Eat More, Not Less

Studies show that eating more actually boosts your metabolism and helps you lose more weight. Eating every 2-3 hours jump starts your metabolism enabling you to burn more calories than fat does. Make sure you are eating protein and fiber in between or at every meal that helps keep you satisfied.

Drink Water

Drinking water should be a given. Water is a natural appetite suppressant that makes you feel fuller. Drink lots of water throughout the day. It does not have to be a whole gallon. A good way to determine your water needs is to drink half of your body weight. Water also makes a good agent for nice looking skin.
